A sneak peek!

So here is a little bit (ha my cat's name is Lil'Bit ) of a sneak preview of some specialty/collateral items for my last project in class!!

Collateral Piece #1

For my collateral piece/mailer I have created a opening book board that on this particular application advertises an upcoming event to a flea market set up for one weekend only. The event description is included inside. The board has a smooth, glossy surface that allows vinyl clings to stick to the surface. Provided inside are two sheets of vinyl clings that allow one to be able to peel off and place down onto the board. These vinyl clings can be moved and repositioned on the board for the client/customer to be able to interactively have fun with the clings provided to inspire going out and buying furniture.

Working on my rebranding for Paris on Ponce, our next project is advertisements. I have been inspired by ads from the 50's and 60's.

Paris on Ponce sells many pieces that are from this era so my inspiration is to do ads where I depict a piece and then have someone model it. Basically will show how a retro piece is still fresh and modern. Below are some ads from the 50's and 60's from greats like Herman Miller and Knoll, top end furniture designs then and now!

To logo, or not to logo....
actually 5 logos I like and 5 logos that are not so great in my eyes....

Logos I like!!

These Logos I really like as each one has interest or a sense of iconic status. Mercedes Benz  3-pointed star is one of the most recognized symbols in the world. Unilever adds fun by depicting in its logo all the brands they represent. Amazon is one of the most successful online shopping company and they have it all, from a-z as their logo tells. Adidas' classic trefoil is very recognizable and holds a personal love for me. Last but not least is Apple. Another iconic symbol that has changed very few times in the company's history.

Logos that are not so great....

Even large companies with billions of dollars can get it wrong.  Not sure what was wrong with the old Pepsi logo, but the tilt of the new one makes my head tilt while scratching it.  Hilton's logo see's bevel edges gets set up to a new high (At least high up on a building). Never got the star thing for Walmart.  Verizon, oh Verizon.... So it's like lines gone wrong.  Bing looks so uninspired to be a site you go to, to get inspiration, or research, or....
